Matriline

Matriline is a work in progress.

The facial profiles of four generations of women: my daughter, myself, my mother, my grandmother, have been traced, 3D printed into extrusion dies, with clay pressed through the missing form to make architectural mouldings. Elongated, they read as an abstract form, but in the gaps, the profile is present.
