Touch Drawing

With eyes closed, my left hand reads an object, its surface, the memory held at its edges, while my right hand transcribes what it finds. The marks are not representations of things. They are records of contact, a way of reaching across time.

Some drawings come from personal objects. Others from museum artefacts and ancient surfaces.
