Death & Grief Cafes

I co-host and table host Death & Grief Cafes and Grief Walks with Creating Conversations CIC in East London. These are safe spaces where people come together to talk openly about death, dying and grief.

Upcoming dates I'll be attending:

  • Grief Walk, Walthamstow Wetlands - Friday 6th June, 10:30am-12:30pm, Friday July 4 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

  • North East London Death Cafe - Saturday 7th June, 3:00pm-5:15pm at East of Eden, Walthamstow

Death Cafes bring strangers together to discuss death and dying. Grief Cafes focus on experiences of loss and bereavement. Both offer the chance to share, listen, or simply be present with others.

YES! Art Fair 2025

I'll be showing work at YES! Art Fair on Sunday 22nd June, 12-6pm at Big Penny Social in Walthamstow. This is a local art fair celebrating artists from across East London.

YES! Art Fair connects artists directly with audiences, with 100% of sales going to the artists. It's a chance to see and buy art in person from local makers.

Early bird tickets: £3 online (saves £2 off door price)

Previous activities:

  • Love Object’ 19 - 22 September 2024: In Autumn 2023, I invited a small group of women (Pippa Choy, Myrto Krikitou & Ruth Goldsmith) to explore together objects that held significant meaning. Through conversations and sharing, we built a collaborative and responsive language which resulted in the Love Object exhibition at Garage Gallery. We began simply - each person bringing an object that held a story.

  • States of Clay’ exhibition, as part of E17 Art Trail, 1-16 June 2024, Gnome House, Blackhorse Road. Thursdays & Fridays, 11am-6pm, Saturdays & Sundays 11am-5pm
Private view Thursday 6 June, 6-9pm

  • Sharing and exploring local clays, as part of Poppy Flint’s ‘Underfoot Explored Sat 15th & Sun 16th June 2024, Gnome House, Blackhorse Road

  • In autumn 2023, I provided FREE coaching sessions as part of my accreditation, at The Death Positive Library in Redbridge.
